Recap: Frankton Eagles vs. Wes-Del Warriors

The Frankton Eagles posted their biggest win since November 28, 2023 on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over Wes-Del. Given Frankton's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Wes-Del is ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frankton was led to victory by Nate Moore and Brady Carmack. Moore scored 12 points along with four steals, while Carmack scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Carmack is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Austin Nunley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Frankton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Wes-Del, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Frankton will look to defend their home court on Friday against Elwood at 6:00 p.m. As for Wes-Del, they will head out on the road to take on Randolph Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Randolph Southern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on January 4th.
