Hill Country Christian School of Austin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Veritas Academy as they made off with a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Wyatt Hsu looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hill Country Christian School of Austin saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Young, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, Young posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Ashton Berzins was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin pushed their record up to 13-8-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Veritas Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hill Country Christian School of Austin will square off against Vanguard College Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.9 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Veritas Academy, they will challenge Round Rock Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
