The Enumclaw Hornets will face off against the Federal Way Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Enumclaw will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Enumclaw's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Jefferson as they made off with an 18-0 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Alyssa Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Enumclaw got a massive performance out of Kaylie Plyler, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave Plyler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nadia Flaherty, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
Enumclaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Federal Way challenged Kentlake on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Falcons, falling 16-6. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.
Sosephina Sailiai was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Serena Sailiai was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Enumclaw's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Federal Way, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Federal Way's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Enumclaw has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Federal Way, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Enumclaw keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Enumclaw took their victory against Federal Way in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 20-9 score. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
