Football Recap: Banks County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Banks County fell victim to Elbert County and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Blue Devils 45-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Leopards in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Banks County lost, don't look at Hunter Bridges. Despite the final result, he threw for 223 yards and two TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

A big part of Elbert County's win came down to the chemistry between Brody Baker and his top target Dakhovin Dk Winn. Baker threw for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes while Dk Winn picked up 71 receiving yards and two scores. The dominant performance also gave Baker a new career-high in passer rating (155.8). Another big playmaker for Elbert County was Jose Rodriguez, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Banks County's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Elbert County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
