Basketball Recap: Penquis Valley Takes a Loss

If Penquis Valley was riding high fresh off their 67-33 takedown of Greenville last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Penquis Valley Patriots fell to the Penobscot Valley Howlers 50-46. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Howlers earlier this season, when they won 36-31.

Penquis Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Penobscot Valley, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Penquis Valley will challenge Stearns at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Penobscot Valley, they will square off against Schenck at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
