Softball Recap: Milton Eagles vs. Forsyth Central Bulldogs
Milton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Forsyth Central Bulldogs. The Eagles had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year.
The team relied heavily on Allison Oneacre, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Heidi Cay Selby, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Milton was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. That's the most doubles they've earned since back in August of 2023.
Milton's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Forsyth Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Milton will host Sequoyah at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Forsyth Central, they will head out to face off against Lowndes at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
