Baseball Game Preview: Hermitage Panthers vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

Hermitage is 0-4 against Patrick Henry since March of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hermitage duked it out with Deep Run on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-2.

Hermitage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Wharton, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Wharton has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry lost 8-1 to Mechanicsville on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Patrick Henry's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Hermitage might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Patrick Henry when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
