Basketball Recap: Far Rockaway Takes a Loss

Far Rockaway lost against Architecture, Engineering and Construction back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Far Rockaway Seahorses had to suffer through a 83-22 loss at the hands of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Seahorses can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Tigers are ranked 101st).

This is the second loss in a row for Far Rockaway and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

After both having extra time off, Far Rockaway and Van Buren will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springfield Gardens on February 1st.
