Basketball Recap: Columbus Has No Trouble Against Winfield-Mt. Union

Columbus hadn't done well against Winfield-Mt. Union recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Columbus Wildcats blew past the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves 54-33. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Columbus and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Union, they will be home for the holidays to greet Mediapolis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mediapolis will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Winfield-Mt. Union surely won't give up without a fight.
