Softball Recap: Verona Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Verona's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Sun Prairie East Cardinals on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Verona's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Sun Prairie East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season.

Verona and Sun Prairie East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Wildcats will face off against Janesville Craig at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 184). Meanwhile, Sun Prairie East (ranked 32nd) will meet Sun Prairie West (ranked 190th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
