Braden Atkinson Delivers Electric Effort Vs Millbrook

Starting off the list is Rolesville's Braden Atkinson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Atkinson threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Millbrook had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Atkinson it was a similar story. When Atkinson last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Ladainian Person Delivers Best Effort of Season

Heritage was led to victory by LaDainian Person, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Person rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

With the win, Heritage broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6. Person and Heritage will head out to take on Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Sacks from Rashad Streets

Sadly, Rashad Streets posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Millbrook over Rolesville on Friday. Streets wasn't messing around, picking up 2.5 sacks and making 15 total tackles. The contest was his fifth straight with two or more sacks.

Millbrook moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. Streets and Millbrook will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m.

Cypher Came Up Big in Millbrook's 35-0 Loss

Quinton Cypher continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 19th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He made 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.
