Soccer Recap: Milpitas Takes Down Crystal Springs Uplands in a Playoff Battle

Milpitas extended their postseason success on Saturday against Crystal Springs Uplands. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Milpitas Trojans who were credited with the victory. The Milpitas Trojans got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons' three. The Trojans' winning goal came courtesy of Jesse Robles.

The win (which was Milpitas' third in a row) raised their record to 11-3. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-3 record.

Coming up, Milpitas is taking a road trip to square off against Selma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Selma will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Milpitas surely won't give up without a fight. Crystal Springs Uplands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
