Basketball Recap: Charlton County Takes a Loss

Charlton County lost against Atkinson County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Charlton County Indians fell 52-44 to the Atkinson County Rebels. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rebels 14-7 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Charlton County still got an impressive performance from Jack Braddock, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Lane, who posted eight points.

Charlton County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Atkinson County, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Brooks County the next time they take the court. Charlton County will host Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Atkinson County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
