Basketball Recap: Coal City's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Coal City proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over the Manteno Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Coalers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Coal City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Manteno, with the loss, they broke their 15-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-1.

Coal City will take on Lisle at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manteno, they will head out to face off against Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
