North Fork waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Monte Vista Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Pirates back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

North Fork easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20.

Alyssa Lovelace paced North Fork's offense, picking up seven kills. Lovelace got some help from Saydee Allen and her 16 assists.

North Fork's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Monte Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

North Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lake County on the 1st. As for Monte Vista, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Telluride on the 1st.
