Newberry had won two straight games and Brandy Whitfield did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Newberry Panthers came out on top against the Andrew Jackson Tigers by a score of 65-55 thanks to Whitfield, who went 11-for-19 to rack up 29 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The contest was her 21st in a row with at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Beaulieu, who posted ten points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Newberry's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Andrew Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Coming up, Newberry will take on Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newberry has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three matches. Andrew Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
