Lincoln-Way West is a perfect 10-0 against Stagg since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. Lincoln-Way West is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Lincoln-Way West proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Coffee 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 4, 2024.

Alex Macias looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Conor Essenburg was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Michael Pettit, who went 1-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Lincoln-Way West lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stagg). They blew past Brooks 14-4 on Saturday. The Chargers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.

Stagg's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Lincoln-Way West, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Lincoln-Way West took their victory against Stagg when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
