Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merrimack). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 win over the Alvirne Broncos on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tomahawks have posted against the Broncos since December 20, 2019.

Merrimack's win bumped their record up to 2-17. As for Alvirne, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Coming up, Merrimack will head out on the road to square off against Concord at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Merrimack is facing Concord at the right time seeing as Concord is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Alvirne, they will welcome Dover at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dover will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Alvirne surely won't give up without a fight.
