Wilby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Watertown Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Wilby was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Watertown work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-8, 21-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Wilby still got an impressive performance from Danielle Pottinger, who had seven aces and six digs. That's the most aces Pottinger has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Rodriguez, who had four kills, three digs, and two aces.

Wilby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Watertown, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
