Volleyball Game Preview: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Bogue Chitto Bobcats

The Lawrence County Cougars will face off against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence County challenged Salem on Monday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lawrence County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Lawrence County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylee McLeod had 19 digs.

Meanwhile, Bogue Chitto lost 3-0 to Amite County on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-14.

Bogue Chitto's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lawrence County, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Lawrence County took their win against Bogue Chitto in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
