Baseball Recap: Norton Science & Language Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Norton Science & Language Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears 11-1 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Rockets: when they faced off against the Bears back in March, they had to take a 9-8 loss.

Nicolas Terrazas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Terrazas was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Saldana, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Corral, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Norton Science & Language Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
