Basketball Game Preview: Chillicothe Hornets vs. Penney Hornets

Chillicothe is 8-2 against Penney since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Chillicothe Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Penney Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Chillicothe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

Chillicothe picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They took down California 47-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

It was another big night for Jaishon White, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sol'Jier Allen, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Penney lost 55-32 to Richmond on Monday. The Hornets have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Chillicothe's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Penney, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Chillicothe against Penney when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 67-22 victory. In that match, Chillicothe amassed a halftime lead of 34-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
