Jermaine Nance Dazzles in Kimball Win

Starting off the list is Kimball's Jermaine Nance, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Nance rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 93-yard run.

The victory (which was Kimball's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Nance and Kimball will take on St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

The victory snapped Edison's losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record. They and Lincoln are set to duel on Friday.

He has become a key player for Lincoln: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Richard Zuniga Delivers Best Performance of Season

Kimball was led to victory by Richard Zuniga, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Zuniga wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making 15 total tackles. The match was his sixth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

For the season, Zuniga has averaged 9 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 0.83 total tackles per game.
