Softball Preview: Berkshire Badgers vs. Wickliffe Blue Devils
Berkshire is 1-7 against Wickliffe since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Berkshire Badgers will head out on the road to square off against the Wickliffe Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
The matchup between Berkshire and Grand Valley on Tuesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went Berkshire's way against Grand Valley as Berkshire made off with a 20-9 win. The victory was just what Berkshire needed coming off of a 17-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Berkshire got a massive performance out of Kate Miller, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Ivy Martin was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Wickliffe had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Kirtland with a sharp 10-3 win on Tuesday.
