Baseball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 15-0 to the Coronado Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 27-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Coronado, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15.

Looking ahead, Chaparral will host Boulder City at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Coronado, they are taking a road trip to face off against Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
