Basketball Recap: Rylan White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage over Sullivan

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The contest between them and the Sullivan Redskins didn't end well, with the Heritage Hawks falling 59-44. The Hawks lost against the Redskins in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-20 score last time.

Heritage lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylan White, who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 38.6% of Heritage's points, marking the eighth time in a row White has had more than a third of the team's points. Brayden Jones was another key player, putting up nine points.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Sullivan, their record is now 11-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will welcome Unity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sullivan, they will square off against Warrensburg-Latham at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warrensburg-Latham will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Sullivan surely won't give up without a fight.
