Basketball Recap: Salesianum Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Howard

On Tuesday, Salesianum faced Howard in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Salesianum Sallies fell 59-52 to the Howard Wildcats. While the Sallies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 13-8 in the first quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Howard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arnold Tonpea, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nick Baysah, who put up 11 points and six boards.

Salesianum's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Howard, their record is now 12-3.

Salesianum has already played their next game (against St. Mark's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Howard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 85-72 victory against McKean on the 6th.
