Basketball Game Recap: Preston Knights vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

Preston won the last time they faced Trinity Christian, and Cameryn Sypolt did her part to make sure it happened again. The Preston Knights came out on top against the Trinity Christian Warriors by a score of 55-42 on Wednesday which was due in part to Sypolt, who on her way to 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Ava Bishop, who earned five points in addition to six assists and four steals. She has become a key player for Preston: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 5-10 otherwise.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 7-11. As for Trinity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Preston has already played their next game, a 56-54 loss against Tygarts Valley on the 22nd. As for Trinity Christian, they will face off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Trinity Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
