Volleyball Recap: Crestview's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Crestview lost against South Walton back in September of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Seahawks 25-15 in the first set.

Crestview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-11, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Crestview lost, don't look at Kelsey Griffin. Despite the final result, she had 27 digs and one assist. Griffin has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 15 times she's played.

Crestview's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10. As for South Walton, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Coincidentally, Crestview and South Walton will both be playing Tate the next time they take the court. The Seahawks will head out to face the Aggies at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
