Softball Game Preview: Harrison Central Huskies vs. Martins Ferry Purple Riders

Harrison Central is 0-3 against Martins Ferry since April of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Huskies will challenge the Purple Riders at 2:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Harrison Central 3.7, Martins Ferry 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Harrison Central didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Glen and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Martins Ferry got the win against Barnesville on Thursday by a conclusive 16-4. The Purple Riders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Martins Ferry, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Harrison Central might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Martins Ferry when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
