Soccer Game Preview: Kecoughtan vs. Warwick

For the first time this season, Kecoughtan will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Warwick Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kecoughtan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kecoughtan's tournament run continued when they took on Grafton on Thursday. Kecoughtan fell 3-1 to Grafton.

Meanwhile, Warwick had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Manor. With Warwick ahead 4-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Kecoughtan's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Warwick, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Kecoughtan beat Warwick by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kecoughtan since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
