Beal City had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They beat the Leslie Blackhawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Beal City's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Leslie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Beal City will square off against McBain at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ramblers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Aggies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Leslie, they have already played their next contest, a 7-4 win against Pewamo-Westphalia on the 10th.
