Volleyball Recap: Knoxville Christian Comes Up Short

Knoxville Christian was the 3-2 winner over Maryville Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Eagles on Friday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18.

Knoxville Christian's offense was headlined by Bea Dunham and Savanah Dunham, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Lily Warren and her 14 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Knoxville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Maryville Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Knoxville Christian and Maryville Christian will both be playing First Baptist Academy the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
