Basketball Game Preview: Deltona Wolves vs. Lyman Greyhounds

The Deltona Wolves and the Lyman Greyhounds will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deltona will be strutting in after a win while Lyman will be coming in after a loss.

Deltona is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Crooms Academy 86-6 on Friday. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Deltona's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Frantashia Williams, who posted 26 points. Camora Pate was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Meanwhile, Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Trinity Prep, falling 38-18.

Despite the loss, Lyman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Samara Oldham put up 12 points.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Deltona, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Everything came up roses for Deltona against Lyman in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-4 win. In that matchup, Deltona amassed a halftime lead of 30-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
