Rangely gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over the Altamont Longhorns.

Rangely was led to victory by Jordan Irwin and Bradley Lambrose. Irwin rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while Lambrose threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes. Irwin really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rangely's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Braden Lucas was the leader with three. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Rangely was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 485 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Altamont only gained 196.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Rangely will face off against Dove Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2014. As for Altamont, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m.
