Laurel-Concord-Coleridge dropped down to 3-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Ponca Indians 72-33. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Hoeppner, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Cade Johnson, who earned seven points and three steals.

As for Ponca, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Ponca found their leader in sophomore Kyan Byrne, who went 7-for-8 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Byrne now owns an excellent 53.6% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Mickenon Peterson, who scored seven points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will take on Plainview in a holiday battle at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Ponca and Tri County Northeast will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
