Baseball Game Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. Van Buren Black Knights

The Trimble County Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Van Buren Black Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trimble County's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Trimble County's offense. They lost 15-0 to Fort Walton Beach on Wednesday.

Trimble County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Penick, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Noah Chilton also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Van Buren came up short against Washington County on Wednesday and fell 7-3. The loss was the Black Knights' first of the season.

Trimble County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Van Buren, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
