Football Recap: Cheshire Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Deerfield Academy last Friday, Cheshire Academy came back down to earth. The Cats fell 29-23 to Dexter Southfield on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Connecticut, while Dexter Southfield are ranked 62nd in Massachusetts).

Cheshire Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Dexter Southfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Cheshire Academy will be playing at home against Brunswick School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dexter Southfield, they will head out to face off against Kent School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
