Rockridge is a perfect 10-0 against Riverdale since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rockets will host the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Riverdale will be up against a hot Rockridge team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Rockets put the hurt on Kewanee with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday.
Tatum Lowe spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emilee Black, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn David, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Rockridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Riverdale came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Tigers 12-2.
Riverdale also let their pitcher toss all six innings played and she was also dialed-in: Brie DeBlaey gave up just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. DeBlaey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brooklyn Peterson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Claire Beeler was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Riverdale pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rockridge, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both Rockridge and Riverdale just can't seem to miss. The Rockets have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Riverdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Rockridge's way against Riverdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Rockridge made off with an 11-2 win. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
