Basketball Recap: Cherryville Ironmen vs. Forestview Jaguars
Cherryville saw some tournament action on Thursday. The match between them and the Forestview Jaguars didn't end well, with the Cherryville Ironmen falling 65-51. The Ironmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emily Allen and Raylei Gidney certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Allen went 9 of 21 on her way to 22 points and four steals, while Gidney dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. Those 22 points gave Allen a new career-high.
Even though they lost, Cherryville was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Forestview found their leader in freshman Sa'Ryah McCorkle, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. McCorkle also set a new season-high mark in steals with seven. Another player making a difference was Molly Forgan, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.
Cherryville's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Forestview, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
