Softball Game Preview: Carlisle County Comets vs. Marshall County Marshals

Carlisle County hasn't had much luck against Marshall County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Comets will venture away from home to face off against the Marshals at 11:00 a.m. Neither Carlisle County nor Marshall County posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Carlisle County fell victim to Hickman County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-0 to Trigg County.

Marshall County's defeat dropped their record down to 32-9-1. As for Carlisle County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

Carlisle County suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Marshall County in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
