Basketball Game Preview: South Hagerstown Rebels vs. Williamsport Wildcats

South Hagerstown hasn't had much luck against Williamsport recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The South Hagerstown Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Williamsport Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

South Hagerstown is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They fell 37-29 to Boonsboro.

Meanwhile, Williamsport had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 victory over the Blazers.

Williamsport pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for South Hagerstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

South Hagerstown took a serious blow against Williamsport in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 58-24. Can South Hagerstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
