Baseball Recap: Miller Grove Falls Short of Avalon in the Playoffs

Miller Grove and Avalon squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Miller Grove had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Friday.

Miller Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Yates, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Yates has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Miller Grove and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Avalon, they pushed their record up to 11-9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Miller Grove nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
