Basketball Recap: Hancock Comes Up Short

Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-23 loss at the hands of the Iron Mountain Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 80-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hancock's record now sits at 0-21. As for Iron Mountain, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hancock will square off against West Iron County at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iron Mountain, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Negaunee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
