Softball Recap: Mifflin County Comes Up Short

Cedar Cliff hit Mifflin County with a four-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies fell 8-3 to the Colts. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 18-8.

Mifflin County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Dickson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Mifflin County's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Cedar Cliff, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

Looking ahead, Mifflin County will take on Mount Union at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Cliff, they will face off against Chambersburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight.
