It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Riverdale had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Chicago Christian Knights 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Leading Riverdale to victory were Lola Wainwright and Kamryn Kruger. Wainwright had 14 digs and five aces, while Kruger had 20 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Wainwright has posted since back in October.

Despite the loss, Chicago Christian still got an impressive performance from Lily Loerop, who had 18 digs and three aces. Loerop has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 26-10-1. As for Chicago Christian, they moved to 29-11 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coming up, Riverdale will face off against Bloomington Central Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Chicago Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
