Baseball Recap: Frontier Regional Victorious

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Frontier Regional ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the East Longmeadow Spartans 2-1.

Frontier Regional got a great performance from Carter Miller as he tossed 8.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Miller a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Frontier Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Caron, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Porter Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Frontier Regional's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for East Longmeadow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Coming up, Frontier Regional will head out on the road to challenge Taconic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Longmeadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
