Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Pass vs. Laredo LBJ

The Eagle Pass Eagles will square off against the Laredo LBJ Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Eagle Pass fell victim to Medina Valley and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 466th, while the Panthers are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Laredo LBJ was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-0 to Medina Valley.

Laredo LBJ's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Eagle Pass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-2.

Eagle Pass took their win against Laredo LBJ when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Eagle Pass repeat their success, or does Laredo LBJ have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
