Basketball Recap: Algona's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Algona won the last time they faced Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS and things went their way on Monday too. The Algona Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 70-53 win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Algona's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Algona will be playing at home against Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they will take on Webster City at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Webster City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS likes a good challenge.
