Campbellsport has won six straight games at home, while Random Lake has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Campbellsport will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Monday, Campbellsport got the win against North Fond du Lac by a conclusive 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Olivia McCarty made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Campbellsport kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Fond du Lac only managed six.
Meanwhile, Random Lake posted their closest win since May 27, 2025 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mishicot, sneaking past 7-5.
Like Campbellsport, Random Lake also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Daggett. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Daggett was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Klein, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chloe Thill, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Random Lake's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Campbellsport, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Campbellsport has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Random Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Campbellsport skirted past Random Lake 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
